THE INSURGENCE

Listen to "Lost" from the Lost 7" EP

From straight-ahead punk rock to Full Throttle Street-Core, The Insurgence will have you either humming the last song you heard in your head, or provoke you into starting a full scale riot. Formed in the fall of 2003 with the idea of stripping down punk rock to its roots leaving only basic raw urgency, their live show could easily be mistaken for an urban riot. Frontman Jibo is a rowdy crowd motivator with his biting yet melodic vox. Guitar player "Wrigglemortis" spends WAY too much time in mid-air onstage, while bassist Justin holds down the low-end. Guitar/vox madman "Four-Eyes" combines with pummeling drummer vox Josh Sinder to finalize The Insurgence sound.

Accomplishments include a six-song EP titled Statutory of Liberty, produced by Jack Endino and released in early 2005 selling over 1000 copies. Extensive touring followed, which included two dates at SXSW. The band has been billed with acts such as, Rancid, US Bombs, The BRIGGS, Zeke, Guttermouth, The Accused, Street Dogs, US Roughnecks, Black Halos, The Real McKenzies, The Queers, and Time Again to name a few.

Flotation Records released the band's first vinyl pressing, a 7” titled "Lost," in early 2006. More touring followed as The Insurgence hit every major town in the Northwest. Currently the band is planning on recording with Jack Endino again for a full length planned for release in Summer 2007.
